“Funny Loophole”
December 2024, cleaning a filthy wall, 2.5m x 2m (surface cleaned), 5m x 10m (wall),
“Funny Loophole” shows the power of having fun and thinking outside the box. Ever since I tested out stencils with my drawings earlier this year, I have been wanting to do a piece in the streets of Paris. However, I wanted to find a way to do it legally, as I find it morally incorrect to permanently vandalize someone’s wall. For the first couple weeks, I could not find a way other than a legal street art wall, which I did not like. Then, when walking by a person power washing the street, an idea sparked: “what if I washed the inverse of one of my drawing onto a dirty wall?”. I then cleaned my design onto a wall near the Eiffel Tower, using a big stencil, chalk, a brush and cleaning products. I chose to represent of one of my characters laughing, as I want to emphasize that having fun and thinking outside the box can help you overcome obstacles. This piece can be seen at 1 Avenue Georges Mandel, 75016, Paris, France.
